Following what was widely perceived as an audacious move by the Fed in lowering its policy rate by 50 basic points, financial markets quickly began working in the possibility of increased inflation risks into the prices of various assets. However, with the economy currently growing at just under tow percent in real terms, inflation fears seem exaggerated.
